So, for some time now, there have been a lot of rumors & much speculation about certain groups on this website.
This one is a 'gang' of cyber-bullies, that one is a "mafia" with special privileges, this group has an 'agenda', etc.
First of all, let me say that it's far easier to just judge others and pigeon-hole them into neat little categories that suit one's own preconceived notions, than it is to actually take the time and energy to assess each person based upon the content of their commentary.
It's even easier if everyone already has a cute 'cookie cutter' label already attached to their name.
However although it may be easier, it's also very small minded & short sighted, IMO.
One's readiness to judge others based solely upon divisive labels speaks volumes about one's own level of maturity, (or the complete lack thereof.)
All that being said I contend that the truly most "dangerous" group on this website is not one that has any acronyms, a set number of members, nor any specific agenda.
It's not the Phaet, although they are 'infamous' on this site, and often the subject of much conjecture and contemplation by many.
It's not 'the BlockerNots', although they too have made their own mark here, as a sort of 'grassroots movement' allegedly attempting to establish a sense of 'fair play' and eliminate abuses of the system.
It's also not PWCM, nor POTL; two groups who seem to have similar interests to the point of often being confused with each other, due to their apparent fixations on the romanticized concept of pirates and their mutual disdain for everything 'liberal.'
Nor is it groups like 'the Astro Army', which seems to revolve around having fun & being silly.
It's not even the extremists on both the far ends of the political spectrum, who seem unhealthily obsessed with politics to the point that they bring it up in every single conversation no matter what the topic may actually be.
No, it's none of those groups that are truly 'dangerous', IMO.
Rather, I contend that the biggest, most 'dangerous' group that anyone should be wary of is one which has no official title, nor owner, and it is so subliminal that many people aren't even aware that they are members.
What is this mysterious group, you may now be wondering?
"Energy Leeches", also known as 'emotional vampires.'
These are the kinds of people who are deeply unhappy with various aspects of their own lives, to the point that they spend much of their time actively trying to make others just as unhappy.
They constantly seek complete and exclusive attention from everyone around them, and they tend to have a very delusional view of the world; that it exists solely to suit their needs.
Energy leeches generally have unrealistic and immature ambitions; they often want 'perfect' love which fulfills all their desires, while asking nothing of them in return.
They aspire to lead 'thrilling, exciting' lives, and tend to expect that any tasks which are tedious or mundane should be someone else's responsibility.
Lastly, energy leeches are the kind of people who just have to 'prove' that they matter more than anyone else, and will go great lengths to do so.
Whether we want to admit it or not, we all have dealt with people like that at one point or another. And if we frequent sites like this, we probably deal with various energy leeches on a regular basis.
With that in mind, I say to you all, watch your back.
Because unlike 'official' groups that have acronyms and mascots, the massive horde of energy leeches which proliferate this site are not so readily recognized...
Nobody can drain energy from you unless you let them.
Grow up and learn to set appropriate boundaries.
There are also people who are in trouble and don't know what to do.
You can't help everyone, but sometimes you can point someone in the right direction.
If they don't really want help, shut them out.
You should be aware of who you are and what your abilities are, just don't go outside of what you can do.
Calling people "emotional vampires" can be an excuse to be cold and uncaring.
Unless you're a child, you can protect yourself.
Sorry I sounded condescending to you (my response was in general and not directed at any person). On the other hand, your reply was interesting in it's own right.
It's my habit to tell it how I see it, but my mind is always open to communication and I'm far from perfect.
I've seen a lot and lived a lot. I know there are always at least 2 sides to each story and I'm always looking to see them both.
We have a messed up society with no real community and it's rare to find true family, so people have problems. Those who don't have the coping skills tend to reach out indiscriminately and that can become a habit that's used to get attention or it can be a real cry for help.
It is what it is and we each do what we think we should or feel we have to. I'm no judge.
I always end up bearing the brunt of close inspection, holding myself accountable first and far above others.
OMG, that is part of the theme of my book, Birth of an Angel and I believe I put it in there under Angelic Consciousness Network.
That people right now are so in the vampire blood sucking energy sucking thing. Whereas Angels are healers and guardians and through tantric love we can recharge one another and live longer whereas energy leeches just want to suck your energy and not give anything back.
The time will come when people value Angels like they are obsessed with Vampires.
Astroboy himself is no longer a member of this site.
Thanks.
This is the LIVING forum, not New & Politics... right?
I mean I know CZ re-shared it but dammmmnnn... I swear the haters stay trying to take me from West Side Story to T~Pain...

The question was interesting, so thanks for that.
Namaste.
:)
When all else fails, I can go to the upper right hand of the screen, and click on the "X"
but I don't mind blocking, so it hasn't come to that point.
On a side note, I have heard a person complain about getting "verbally raped". !?! Boy, does that demean those who have actually been hurt.
WTF.
Of COURSE Basement Cat has a sense of humor:

I wrote that about 10 years ago.
