It is the end result of resolving societal problems through intelligent discussion and non-violent means among people of differing backgrounds and attitudes .

I like to believe that people in the long run are going to do more to promote
peace than our governments. Indeed, I think that people want peace so much that
one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have
it. - Dwight D. Eisenhower
No war, No one using man made laws to oppress humans to try and make them less than you are. No one perverting the KJV to do the same or with any bible. Philippians 2:3;1If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Humans with that mindset will not war.
Being wise, and harmless is peaceful too. That would apply in not allowing Sharia law to be anywhere. The condemning legal system does not contribute to peace, and nether do militarily armies either seen or unseen as in underground bunkers. Police who shot to kill are not for peace either. Jesus to snuff out waring tendencies saves his soul be choseing to have a human kill him rather than kill. That was what Jesus taught us in all of his life in whatever set of circumstances up to the event of his crucifixion. That saved his soul able to raise up from the dead to live in our soul to raise whoever up when Christ comes back.
A book could be written on the topic. Inner peace is being accepting of oneself for living according to the Golden Rule. Peace in the outer world is taking much time but is coming about according to "The Better Angels of Our Nature."
Peace comes about by having Christ in us seeing Christ in others not wanting to hurt Jesus in others. Without The Lord God in us we can do nothing that is good in a body that consumes what God gave us turning it into you know what.
War & disease are just nature's way of saying, enough with the breeding. It was only a few years ago, when we got to the point where we had more people alive than dead.
Peaceful humans save their own soul. To help prevent symtomes of whatever www.upcspine.com is my short answer, all now.The more humans living peaceable with all men in a humble way the more souls will populate my fathers house.
Peace on earth...no injustice...is the primary way I think of peace.
I do get the expression "peace that passes all understanding" and other Bible references of the word which mean "assurance of eternal life", etc., but that use of the word doesn't mean anything to me on a personal level. I think that's because of of all things baseball. Followed Braves baseball my whole life, and it's all about being on the warpath at all times for the sake of success. Pursuing success is all there is. For me being ready for a fight always is in a big way the pursuit of success...so much so that the other meaning of the word makes no sense to my belief system...
This other meaning of the word peace ("peace like a river" or "that passes all understanding"), this translates to me "unshakable confidence", "invincible confidence", or "unconquerable confidence". On that level, I get what the Bible implies about people searching for peace or peace with God. But I have a legitimate hangup with any use of the word peace that doesn't mean "world free of injustice". Again, I get it, but I find myself wanting to explain to others that peace comes through being ready for a fight (ready to fight injustice) when I hear a reference to peace as referring to some sort of ease of living or something that I think some people believe it means. I know enough not to try to do this, but I want to...
No conflict. A bit of irony though; the hippies used to 'flash a peace sign' with the same gesture that was used in previous wartimes as a symbol of victory (hence the 'V')
being calm

That's about it.
