    It depend completely on public will. We either have the will to be a vibrant growing, living, society that constantly explores our frontiers, or we end up being another failed society like the Etruscans, Bogomils, or Shiangs, that anthropologists and archeologists argue over the meaning of their quaint word usages.
    Space exploration is an Epic endeavor and our racial survival may hinge on it.

    Maybe a combination of the two ... I hope NASA will be allowed to introduce the next generation of space travel.

    Most likely NASA will not get much government funding. Private wealthy businessmen will hire top notch NASA people, paying them high salaries to work for them.
