Existing is when my life is not manageable, and living is when it is. thank God for good people in my life that make it worth living., Live and let live.
like in Wall-E (fav movie of mine!) the crew on the Axiom just existed but didn't realize what they were missing out on by not questioning the "order" of things. "I don't want to survive--I wanna live!" --Captain McCrea, 2775-
To me, existing is just getting by. You aren't dying and you are pretty content, but you are really just settling. When you live, you are completely happy with the way things are and you wouldn't want it any other way. Most people just exist, and that's fine, but those few people are actually living and I envy them :)
For me the difference has to do with the degree of fear in which one inhabits the planet. We can begin to think for ourselves and truly live by the ethical standards of integrity once we no longer fear not existing.
Existing is like looking at the "glass" either half full, or half empty. Living is being grateful for the glass and for anything to put in it.
You either make a choice to not accept anything, unless it's your way....or make the choice to be satisfied, no matter the situation.
well, think of it like this. if you exist, you are technically living, because... well... you exist XD but the difference is that living, is when u are on the right track, and know where your going in life, that's living. existing, is when you have a purpose, you just dont know it yet. this makes you feel like you are worthless, have no purpose, dont matter, etc.
we?
and
extisiting is being there...

To answer it, I think that existing is merely the bare minimum for survival; breathing, eating, drinking, etc.
Really living is about reveling in one's visceral experiences, taking each moment for what its worth, and actively trying to become more than one is.
Living...making it through the life with happiness, pleasure and love.
