What is the best present you remember from childhood?

My very first laptop. I wasn't expecting one at all and I didn't have it on my christmas list but my dad surprised me. It was huge and silver and black. I loved it and had it for 3 or 4 years but then something happened to it and it crashed and no one could fix it so I got another one last year

Kind ofsilly one, actually. One year I wanted ( among other things) what I called a "squishy doll". It was a doll with plastic arms, legs and head, but a stuffed body. I had talked about it for quite a while. My mother had bought a "Tumbelina" doll for one of my cousins. That doll was almost what I wanted, except I wanted one that didn't do anything... no tumbling, music or anything. Well, Christmas came and I got absolutely everything I had asked for... except the doll. When my mother asked if I'd gotten everything I wanted i said yes in a way that clearly meant no. She badgered me until I told her that I didn't get the squishy doll. A few days later I came in from playing out in the snow and she told me that when Santa got back to the north pole he discovered something for me in the bottom of his bag, and sent one of the elves to deliver it while I was outside. I went to the Chrstmas tree, and there was the doll and several sets of clothes for it. That was one to remember (and no, I didn't buy the story for a minute, but it was inventive.)
