Nothing at all. We're the same as everyone else in the world. We live, have relationships, go to work, etc. No real difference, other than who we choose to spend intimate time with.
Nothing is, people only think it is because of religion and that it isn't natural. Also the definition of marriage is -The formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife.

However, the reason so many people have something against homosexuality is because those people tend to be xenophobic, or be afraid of what they view as foreign or strange. Another reason is that some people believe it's sacrilegious.
Personally, I believe the people against homosexuality have problems with accepting those who differ from them.
