Self esteem, for me, is like belief in one's self or how one sees themself. A positive thing, but I am well aware that too many people might have low to no self esteem. I find that unfortunate.

What does it mean for you? love your self

I think most people have unwarranted high self esteem. Self esteem can be induced by drugs. A more rational approach is to develop skills, abilities and critical thinking. With these in hand self esteem takes care of itself. The big problem is everyone wants that overly confident person to tell them what to do. Rather than figure it out for themselves. This makes them susceptible to the Used Car Salesman. If this wasn't true there wouldn't be any used car salesmen. This is how political leaders are also selected. The public loves the shtick.

I've seen what you are talking about, and those people are delusional to point of being dangerous. An overly confident is not very well equipped to deal with life's disappointments....

I think there is a certain satisfaction that comes from accomplishments, especially if they were difficult. That gives one self esteem and nobody can take that away.

A function and measure of self contentment,

To "esteem"*(as in estimate) ourselves is the process of comparing who we actually are against who we know that we can be.

A person who has obtained contentment is one knows that they are all that they can be, or are on the correct path to it.

Someone with low self esteem knows that they are a long way from achieving this and who may also realize that they are not on the right path or that something is blocking them

I am connecting all my actions as my sub-concious directs me. May be it could be wrong, in others view, but that hardly makes any impact on me. I an clear on my actions, ready to say sorry if again if he tells me from within.
