"Print media" are: books, newspapers, posters, pamphlets, etc.
"Print media" are NOT: web pages, e-books, email, etc.

"text" simply means words on a page.

Pictures are not text, and Tumblr is not a print medium.
("Medium" is the singular form of "Media")

Print media text might be a newspaper article, or an advertisement posted on a wall,
or a story in a book.

I'm not sure this is what your teacher (?) wanted to know. It's not a phrase we use
very often in English. I hope this helps.

My lecturer told me that if the picture sends you a message then it considers as a print media text. I feel so confused about it since this picture that I found is not a PRINT media...

So, do you think it's a print media text?

I don't think this is "print media text" but I really don't know anything about it. There is a message written on the picture, but it was not actually in print (on paper). I think I'm confused, too. :O\

Ya, I feel confused too. I keep thinking of your first reply - Tumblr is really not a print medium even though there some text in this picture. It can't be a print media text.
Actually, this is my assignment which is about select an advert, a brand, a slogan or some form of print media text that sends a message you don't agree with. And then manipulate the image and change its meaning.
Well, I just found an advert just now as it is safer to choose an advert than a print media text which I have no idea of it @.@

Btw, thanks for your reply. It helps me a lot =)
    Thank you very much.

Print media is something like a newspaper, a magazine, a book, that kind of thing. Things that are printed. Text is the actual words. So, print media text (unless they have changed the meaning of those words once they're put together) is the words in something printed. For example, an article in a newspaper consists of text, and since a newspaper is print media, what's written in the paper is print media text. It may be a reference to the font used in print media, for example, Times New Roman is the name of a particular font that is often used.

I think it could be considered media text. Looks like an advertizement. Print media, as far as I know, only refers to things that are actually printed, like magazines, newspapers and so on.

So, it's just a media text , NOT a PRINT media text because it isn't from magazines, newspaper???
