it's basically it's sorta like how if you have a car it's mandatory to own car insurance only applied to people. In short everyone would have to have life insurance if you can't afford it the tax payers pay. It's not as good as what they have in Canada but it's a step in the right direction.

There are actually two messages here. The first is very interesting, but the

second is absolutely astounding -- and explains a lot.

A recent "Investor's Business Daily" article provided very interesting

Percentage of patients diagnosed with diabetes who received treatment within six months:

Percentage of seniors needing hip replacement who received it within six months:

    U.S. 90%

The percentage of each past president's cabinet who had worked inthe private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet. You know what the private business sector is a real-life business, not a government job. Here are the percentages.

    GH Bush......................... 51%

    Clinton .......................... 39%

    GW Bush........................ 55%

    Obama........................... 8%

This helps to explain the incompetence of this administration: only 8% of them have ever worked in private business!

That's right! Only eight percent---the least, by far, of the last 19 presidents! And these people are trying to tell our big corporations how to run their business?

How can the president of a major nation and society, the one with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one? Or about jobs when he has never really had one? And when it's the same for 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers? They've spent most of their time in academia, government and/or non-profit jobs or as "community organizers." They should have been in an employment line.

Pass this on because we'll NEVER see these facts in the main stream media.

Parts B, C, and D are privatized and that's where the insurance companies come in. It's pure misinformation that the president has raided Medicare of 700 billion dollars. Which is ironic because the GOP likes to maintain that the whole idea is communistic anyway that is until THEY turn 65 - then its 'don't touch my medicare'.

short answer; medicare broadened to include more people instead of waiting for them to turn 65. The confusing rhetoric about it is just emotional agendas designed to get you to feel one way or the other about it.

It does not matter the agenda - fact is, that this is all it is; a larger version of today's medicare... The healthcare industry and the insurance agencies are laughing all the way to the banlk. I work insurance and you should see the changes; they're COUNTING on your confusion - literally.

It really RomneyCare, since Romney invented it and implemented it when he was a Democratic Governor of Massachusetts. President Obama just copied and pasted Romney's hard work and called it "ObamaCare", as if that arrogant uppity blankety blank could be smart enough to come up with a great idea like RomneyCare. we all do... but then again, it fits into the general fund paying for airplanes and carriers we don't need for wars we should not be in. The numbers are so vast that we even have a few bucks left over for people w/o health cvg to randomly show up to the emergency room. I can't promise to 'ever' have a s ystem that has no waste. there will always be some. but the greater good is to preserve the lives of people who are down on their luck thru no fault of their own.

For example, a friend of mine lost his job at 58 yrs old - 2 yrs later, still unemployed he has no healthcare... but now his wife of 30+ yrs has just been diagnosed with rectal cancer. They're too old to find new jobs and too young for social security & medicare.

All they have is their house and ea other. These people were not bums... He served in the Navy just after VietNam (but he's not retired) and she's held minimum wage jobs (she still works in one). The following generation is paying healthcare forward like their kids will do for them. This is a social problem not a governing one. As long as there are good Americans like these - we need not give Ryan whose - worth 42 million dollars another tax break, which he conveniently put into to his budget proposal.

that is inconsistent; if you believe that, then millionaires and billionaires don't need a tax break. I don't want their money; I'll make my own but I also pay the taxes I owe. Unless social welfare is defined as a process that goes up but is frowned upon in any other action. Social welfare is always a target for anyone who is not hurt by discontinuing it. The 1% scream the loudest, I notice.

We have evolved from the days of social ignorance where we ARE our brother's keepers because that is a hallmark of our society. That quality is often imitated by never duplicated

Obamacare is a collection of laws , taxes, controls and regulations across a mass of subjects. From taxes on tanning salons to forbidding doctors from expanding hospitals to taxes on home sales. Medical rationing and the fabled death panels.

Essentially a government take over of the entire medical and insurance industry . Where government panels decide who gets treated , by who , how much and at what price.
This is to done by controlling insurance companies, hospitals and drug companies.
Along with a Government order that everyone buy insurance of pay heavy fines with the IRS checking everyone to make sure they do .

You are free to correct anything that stated in error . Just don't go off on some tirade that nothing is true .
What do you deny ? taxes ? Outlawing Doctors building and owning hospitals ? Taxes on homes sales ? Taxes on medical device manufacturers ? pick an Item .

"now we're talking about people's lives."
Obamacare is going to terminate a lot of those lives and yield substandard care to those peoples lives .

When Rep Ryan and Gov Romney put out the lie that Pres.Obama raided medicare for 700 billion dollars to pay for obambacare..They fail to mention that the money is shifted to a new paradigm that was coming with or without the AFA. They also fail to mention that Ryan's budget plan has the SAME provisions

Taxes on home sales is another outrageous falsehood. I work in the insurance business and estate planning is our bread and butter. If there's a tax on home sales because of the AFA, we'd know about it. Equally true of medical devices. There is no 'special' tax that is newly imposed. People lives are being saved, I know because I see it. My sister is also a very senior nurse in the business and she confirms it - at least from what she has seen of it. There is NO such thing as Obama-care. It's the Affordable Health Care Act. It insures that everyone has health care. Nothing wrong with it, it's the precursor to Universal Health Care, which every civilized, industrialized country has. Republicans don't want it, because it will mean they can't "RIP OFF" the economy anymore.

That invention to use federal funding has been in place since 1965 when this president was a 1 yr old. Besides, medical insurance is the finest example of capitalism that we have in this country. Did you really think a multi-trillion dollar industry would come out on the losing end? No, no, no,...heh... It's one thing to have Medicare part A and it's another to provide Medicare parts B and beyond... the govt does not provide those... the consumer does. That is 'supply (sooner or later it will be needed) and demand'; it does not need taxes to create it. The industry and the GOP buddies who get special favors, like relection monies, love confusing you about that fact

I can; it's nothing more than medicare for everyone instead of waiting til you're 65. Obamacare just negotiated who pays for what. The govt pays for part A. You pay for parts B, C and D. You are automatically entitled to part A after age 65 because of the payroll taxes that you spent on it for the past 45 yrs. The 20 somethings pay for seniors and then their kids pay for them.

What happens when the younger people are more and more on the dole from the taxpayer in the form of welfare and other Government freebies? Our Government cannot keep borrowing more and more to spend on give away programs. It already spends more than a trillion dollars a year more that revenues provide.
