	Luck is just a random occurance of events. When they are beneficial, we call it luck.
	We make our own luck in life.
	Something/someone was clearly watching over him.
	It was not part of God's plan for him to die then.
	It was fate.

I'd go mostly with the "random occurence of events" but with a touch of "Fortune favors the prepared mind". Too many people get lucky breaks and don't even know what to do with them.
