Anything that squashes somebody else's liberty. Since it's impossible to go through life without stepping over someone or something along the way, we're all bad at different levels.
Bad is that which is not ultimately conducive to an individual's happiness. This is to say that when an individual does something destructive to one's self or another then they are perpetrating an act of evil and therefore are being "bad". Society wishes to define bad but often commits offenses against the "good" in the process. Perhaps I am committing what is called "moral relativism" but I am of the mind the value, on many levels, is subjective. For instance, certain philosophies hold self-sacrifice as the highest, most moral thing that one can do. But ultimately that only promotes a doctrine of self-destruction. Is that not showing a disregard for the most precious of all values, the value of life? I think it is.
Body image. Doesn't matter how much you "know", somehow everyone feels imperfect in some way.
Like me, I gained weight recently from quitting smoking and I think I'm fat now.
There is no consensus on the existence of gods, nor is there consensus among god-beleivers upon one god or one set of rules from any god, so what you have written here is of little or no use in a discussion.
Setting forth your own likes and dislikes, but claiming they are the opinions of a god, is a discussion ender, not a discussion starter.
To address any issue requires the use of rational and logical constructions.
Well, there is NOTHING more Rational than acknowledgement of the ONE who CREATED us. I See HIS POWER in all things. I believe HE holds everything together by the Power of HIS spoken word. Did you know that there is space between the atoms that make up your body? The Spoken Word of God is what holds it all together. HE SPOKE and it WAS. HE set the Laws Governing Physics, and all the Sciences, it is man's glory to figure them out.
"Well, there is NOTHING more Rational than acknowledgement of the ONE who CREATED us."
That's nonsense. You may believe in a god, but that doesn't make such a belief rational. Arguing that supernatural beliefs are rational displays a lack of understanding of what the word "rational" means.
"Did you know that there is space between the atoms that make up your body?"
Yes. People who were unsatisfied with "god dunnit" figured that out, despite the best efforts of preachers to silence them. Did you know that "atomism" - the explanation of atomic structure - was opposed by your religion and your religious leaders, and those that first suggested it were either killed or terrified into silence? Yet eventually even the might of the medieval Christian church could not keep people from learning that which the ancient Greeks had suspected: that matter is made of atoms. Religion cannot repress real knowledge for ever, even when it kills people to try and stifle it. Cheers.
