    ooh, lucky
if you're under 18 here and are out after 10 pm w/o a parent or guardian, the cops can get you :O

It just depends on if it is a school night or not. 10 if it is a school night and 12 if it is not ;-)

11 would be a good general time. But maybe change it depending on where you're going. If you're at a friend's place you could be able to stay later than if you're out in town, or something. Especially if the friend lives close.

As a parent, I wanted to say 10 before I saw what you posted, though I remember wanting midnight as a 16 yr old, so my compromise is 11 - stretching it past what I think is comfortable but fair to both since we're giving-in equally ;)

I can see how my comment could look like sarcasm...I was being serious, though :) Abuse and murder of any innocent person is a serious concern. Now I'm thinking I should've suggested 8pm but the author would've killed me, instead :)

Why go outdoors at all? I should stay in my room and not go on the net in case I meet a weirdo.

lol...well, i just see a lot of young girls get taken advantage of in so many mean and vicious ways...i'm naturally a worrier :) no offense to you, lucy. if i err, it's with your safety in mind more than an extra hour or two out at night...i was your age, i can appreciate the desire you have, really :) no offense, okay? :D

I would, too. My children are really young but I'm sure I'll always be concerned for their happiness and safety...I think that's what caring parents do best, lol

Mine was 10 but I had strange parents and it was a long time ago. I started working 4-12 shortly after so that kind of went out the window, especially with my days off being Tuesday and Wednesday.

It's not too late and not too early in my opinion. There also is the matter of whether of not homework is done or not.

No curfew. She'll have to learn her own schedule. If she want's to stay up all night, fine let her, she's just gonna pay for it waking up late on Sunday and trying to get enough sleep for Monday. Life lessons.

I never really had or enforced curfews for my boys. Just always knew where they were. At 16, 11:00 on the weekend is reasonable I'd say. 10:00 is a little early IMHO.

Until you're paying your own way, whatever your parents say is what's reasonable. Should they have to remain awake until midnight worrying about you? Demonstrate that you're responsible (and possibly learn karate or some form of self-defense) and they will be willing to "reason" with you and up the ante ...maybe.

Id say it depends on the kids maturity level and local laws.

Check your city's legal limits. I think 11 is late enough for a 16 year old, but quite honestly it might be early where you live.

At least 11, if not 12. I'm 16 too, and my parents vary the times I have to be home at. The way I see it, it's not a problem if I get home past 11 as long as I text them to tell them that I'll be home soon and where I am. Depends if your responsible and mature enough.

What really counts here is not what we say but what your parents say. They feel it's important so that they know where you are and, once you become a parent, you will indeed see their point.

I'm guessing the curfew's related to when to be in the house if she's out. :) I used to stay up around the clock as a teen Saturday through Sunday, lol

I haven't seen you on in a long time :D
