i think 14 is cuz im 14 and im still tryin to convince my parents to let me date. they are so stubbrn. cuz they will let me do anything on my own exept for that. it's stupid. im ready. but they just aint ready for me to grow up i guess. i will have to figure everything out on my own anyways. so why not start now?

I am undecided cause i really don't know. i mean, me personally, i feel mature enough but then again i'm 15. ---but I KNOW what i want. i've been very mature since like 10. and i feel ahead of the game and i'm like but who should i date? nobody at my school has what i'm looking for so i suppose i should just not date. but then again i'm like, should i just put that aside and date to see what guys have to offer? So confused!

It isn't really dating until you're mature enough to understand what dating is. And most kids don't really get it. I'd say you can date when you're younger than 16, but actual relationships and actual dating... it's more 16-18.

My son's already asking girls out - he turned 5 last week. I'm thinking of shipping him off to a monks retreat....... i don't want to be a grandmother before i'm 30!

I find it hilarious when people under the age of 12 claim they have a boyfriend. I give myself rules. Its stupid, but I think Im not allowed to date until I turn 16 or 18. I want to experience the REAL thing.

I'll say 16 to 18 is a good time to begin exploring your interests. you learn some things, and you learn a more intimate interaction with people, you start exploring your inner self as well as learning to express your feelings in a more mature manner.

I do however stress that at such a young age, a lot of care and thought should be put into what you would do in certain situations.. acting before thinking can cause a lot of grief and trouble, and you will find yourself in a lot of tempting situations...

and always.. before you do anything, talk to a parent, or an adult.. someone you can trust that is open-minded, and can help guide you into adulthood...

When the boy tells you he loves you, accept that it may be true, and he really does have genuine feelings, but don't accept it 100% until you know for sure he's not just looking to get a little farther than you intend...

Casual dating, meaning, hanging out with more than one person, for either a "date" or a night out to have fun is also something to consider, this way you don't become emotionally tied to one person...

and don't forget about your friends.. when you spend all your free time with just one person, your mind tends to start thinking differently, and friendships are sometimes lost because one person has a slightly strong...''

Dating doesn't necessarily mean having sex. That should wait until marriage or at least the age of 18, whether you are dating or not.

If you're a man, past 80-- chicks live longer than dudes so you'll be an instant playa.
