    "The Pepsi Generation."
Born in the mid 60s to late 70s, lived through Reagan's 80s, remember "air-raid drills" and how they became "fallout drills"..Played cops and robbers OUTSIDE using our imaginations, and our CAP-GUNS, and we wanted the MOST realistic ones we could lay our hands on, but few of us were ever shot by Police because we were taught to RESPECT the LAW, and the men and women who enforced it, so few of us were stupid enough to point our guns at police.

We remember the cold war coming to an end, the wall falling down, and the death of the "Soviet Bear". Some of us, in light of the current world instability, look back with nostalgia on our old enemy, and the stability the cold war provided.

We watched "The Day After", our souls cringed and our blood ran cold.

We watched "Red Dawn" and went to school and sat with our buddies and discussed in detail how WE were gonna "kick the Russian's ASSES" if they tried, and some of us.....WANTED EM to.

We remember the "cola war" and the Challenger explosion.

We remember the attempt on President Reagan's life.

We remember "The Burger wars" and how "Where's the beef?" went on to became a political camaign slogan.

We INVENTED the BMX and skateboard freestyle tricks, by trial and error, and injury, that today's kids pe...

We INVENTED the BMX and skateboard freestyle tricks, by trial and error, and injury, that today's kids perform without risk or effort on their XBoxes.....and we did it WITHOUT helmets!

We collected scars and were PROUD of them.

We did NOT get trophies for "effort"....We got a trophy if we WON, and if we lost, we learned how to be a good sport about it.

    We climbed trees.

    We fell out of trees.

We were the last generation that grew up under the threat of MAD, and while that scared us......Not much else did.
We were the last of the "fearless ones".....

I am tired of our current time though, I much preferred the 90s, the dependence on technology puts me off, too many distractions, I much prefer just hanging with people and listening to good music and being outside than sitting in front of a screen because no one else is up to doing anything else.
