I don't know about the bible. People even fight over which version is the true bible. But it's sad. In an age when 7 out of 10 black children are born out of wedlock, to deny a beautiful couple of faith the chance to consecrate their marriage is disgusting.
If they had been of the same sex I would have agreed. I'm for civil union but marriage
is between a man and a woman. They should try the Catholic community.Buzzy

That is to say, we are all made of the same stuff. There is one race of men: the human race. Man comes in many colors, but all are equally human. The article pointed out that the leadership said that the refusal was silly. Some people are just weird. It's not a Christian thing; it's just a people thing.

The Bible doesn't say much about the color of people's skin. Only one passage comes to mind though:

Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil (Jeremiah 13:23).

There is some stuff about Ham, son of 500 year old Noah, being cursed. His descendants are the children of Africa. People used these verses to justify slavery. Some white supremacists still use this garbage in their literature.

It doesn't say anything about black people. There is such a slight genetic difference. We are all that closely related. We all originated from the same place; Africa. Some of our ancestors walked farther then others. That's the only difference. Period! No is better than or less than anyone else.

DO YOU READ THE BIBLE? because if you don't then you don't have the leading of the holy Spirit to guide you so you're view of scripture unless you study it really does not matter does it?

Now if you are referring to the WestBoro Baptist church.... They are " NOT" associated with any Baptist Association at all and are rejected by all Baptist Associations.

If you had read the Book of Solomon you would know that Solomon had many wife's and some very well could be Black.... and if so? Big Deal! YOUR POINT?

I'm referring to the article I posted the link to , I'm asking a question, if if you don't know or want to answer fine. it's not about being liberal or Agnostic and my intentions were not to insult anyone, I wanted to know why being black would matter in making a decision of who can be married in a church and I was asking what does the Bible say about this.

Everything is not about being disrespectful or offending , sometimes it's simply about wanting an answer to a question.

Your little post intended to disrespect me because I'm liberal , mine had no disrespectful intent.
