Nothing! It's an outdated mentality that equates Experience with knowledge. It give comfort to stupid people who realize that some younger people have learned more than them.
Your generation is trumping us in knowledge, and some of us can't stand it.

Very little. You can be too young to understand some things, or not yet ready to learn them because you don't have the prior knowledge needed to be able to make sense of it. But other things you can know, either from being observant or because you're intelligent enough to learn them. Seriously, age doesn't make one wise. I know some very idiotic adults. Someone who equates how old your are (not your grasp of certain information) with how able you are to know things is probably one of that group of adults.

Nothing. Some of us know more than many of them. And vice-versa.

It's mostly called experience. Until you actually experience something you really do not know what you need to. Of course there are many that are well into their 40's and still do not seem to know much so it takes a combination of experience and the willingness to learn.

Education will only take you just so far. Following that you must take that education and actually use it. If you do not then age buys you nothing. There will never be a time in your life when you will know everything. Life is a constant learning experience.

if you are 2, being compared to a 25 year old, chances are the 25 year old knows more.

Knowledge increases with age, but mental ability decreases. Old people fill their heads and knowledge but sometimes lack the mental ability to know what it means. Their beliefs get cemented with time. Old dogs and new tricks.

Nothing, but a lot of older people here like to use the age of a person who is younger against them. It's pretty unfair.
