In just a couple of weeks, Apple is expected to release the next iPhone. According to Cult of Mac, they are pretty certain that Apple will not be calling their newest mobile product the "iPhone 5". The next iPhone will be the sixth generation of the phone.
The press has just been calling it the iPhone 5 for the last 9 months because it’s an easy-to-understand placeholder for what will come after the iPhone 4S. So, what will the next iPhone be called? Care to take a guess?

Besides, they don't upgrade enough to give it a different name.
Brb, praying to my Golden Shrine of Supreme Leader Steve Jobs.
Do yourselves a favor and get androids.
I've had 3 iPhones in the past 5 years. One got stolen, so I picked up another in 2009. Last year I finally replaced that (3G-S) with the 4S, because of hardware upgrades... Instead of not using it, I gave it to my sister who gave it to my 5 year old neice. Last month, I went down there for a visit. Surprise of all surprises, it's STILL alive and kicking pretty well.
Compare that with Androids. Out of the good number of individuals I know who actually own the Droid based phones, they've ALL had to have them replaced, or upgraded, 1-2 times a year. Memory issues, OS issues, battery problems, devices just flat out failing...
Complain about Apple's products all you want, they make them to last over and over again.
Before my androids I had a Motorola razr v3T for NINE years, and it STILL works.
I've had the epic since release day, I had a motorola cliq before that, I had an iphone i was issued for work and had nothing but problems with it, the battery stopped accepting a charge, the screen was unresponsive and the OS was sluggish.
I repair Iphone screens as a side job, I replace about 15 a week on average, all of them never having done more than fall off a kitchen table or out of someones lap, Apple makes a good mp3 player(the old ones, have a 7 year old ipod video 60 gig thats still trucking. But their phones leave alot to be desired, don't be fooled by the shiny case or the pretty wrapper.
Another reason Android is better right now is the market, you can make your own apps and upload them for free so others can use them, being that I'm a huge free knowledge fan, I think this is far and above what apple is doing right now, make your own app and use it?
LOL hows your shiny brick?
I've had my iPhone fall constantly, off of my lap, off of the couch, a couple times off of the desk. It has YET to break it's screen. Then again, I'm not dumb enough to us it without protecting it.
Go ahead, call the iPhone a brick, but if the iPhone is a brick, there is NO android device that is ANY better.
Who's the gullible one here?
The one who worked in the industry or the one who listens to sales flyers?
I will say that I have a very robust cover for my device.
But the main reason again is Androids customization, I can do things with a stock galaxy platform that you would have to jailbreak an Iphone to do. To me Apple is severely limiting its users by "Making it simple", alot of the capabilities of said iphone are locked out by its OS.
Apple just thinks it poop don't stink, this is its whole issue.
