A 17 year old teenager, surnamed Zheng, a freshman in high school, got connected with a kidney-selling agent through the internet, who pledged to pay him 20,000 yuan ($3,084.45 ) for one of his kidneys.

That kid must have been a desperate price-insensitive tech addict. An iPad2 can't possibly be worth that much for a kidney. What about the rest of the money he made through that? Buy a cheaper kidney (I hope)? Besides, through the Internet? Who knows what could happen then?

Hey, what did he do with the other $2400? It may be worth it if he's a non-drinker, non-smoker, non-pill-taker, non-sweets eater and drinks a lot of water. Heck, that one kidney can last a lifetime. Good thing they didn't ask for a liver.

Eh, if something happens its his fault. I wouldn't sell mine for 3000.. I think thats 3000? Not sure, but anyways, its just not worth it and a stupid thing to do just for an iPad2. That could have killed him. He wouldn't be getting his ipad2 if he was dead.

Yes I figured that from the kid's name and the currency. They should have a law in China against selling organs, at least for minors if nothing else.
