I'm a smoker too..... and I respect non-smoker's rights.... .and they should respect mine as well..... I won't infringe on their space...... and they can give me my space to smoke.... I have as much right to do or not to do ...... just as they have..... !!

I don't smoke, because it's expensive and it lowers your fitness, but all my girlfriends have smoked, and that was fine with me. When I had my own flat, I even used to have an ashtray and matches, just in case a visitor fancied a cigarette!

i respect the rights of the smokers but let me ask you something smokers "are you happy to be smoking? is smoking supposed to release stress?". i have a mom that smokes and when i see her smoking i think to myself "when she smokes her percent of life keeps getting closer to 0%. what will happen if she dies before i even get married. i hope that every cigarette she smokes gets her closer to realising it's not worth it." the left lung is a smokers lung and the right lung is a non smoker lung

At least when smoking. I'd rather they kept their cigarette smoke down wind of me, but other than that I'm fine with it, though if I care about them I will want them to stop for their own health.

I don't smoke anymore but I do think smokers should have a place to smoke, and it shouldn't be out behind a building. I believe smokers should NOT be looked down on and should NOT be treated like lepers. Smokers have rights just the same as non-smokers.

I quit smoking on March 20 and I don't miss it a bit. I smoked since I was 15 (38 year's) and I kept thinking how attractive I would look with a hole in my throat. I work in a casino so I get enough 2nd hand smoke tomake me feel like I never even quit...seriously I did like to smoke. I just lived in fear that I would not dodge that throat cancer bullet

It isn't something I had ever taken up but it's a choice with everyone if they want to or not.
I do think though the laws have gone TOO far with bans in certain areas for smoking.

Sorry I definatly don't agree Im really sensitive and my two Lil cousins have asthma and I have seen them suffer so many attacks cuz of smokers... Strongly against it I hope you all can stop not only does it hurt other but yourselves as well...

Well, everyone in my house smokes, and I really wish they wouldn't. I've had horrible asthma since I was a kid and the second hand smoke really bothers me, but unfortunately, the smoke is everywhere these days...I'm just gonna move to the tip of main and hide out in the freshest air...the closest to me that is. My mum smokes, and it calms her, but she's killing herself and me while doing it...it just kinda hurts when you know your parent is stressed to the point where nothing else can help them except for the nicotine. I won't ever date or marry a smoker, I might love them, but my lungs are just too sensitive as it is. I can hardly take a 30 minutes hike without feeling like I need to be taken to the hospital. So, in conclusion, smokers....you go and smoke, whatever. I'll just skidaddle my little butt somewhere else.

People can do what they want, but honestly I don't appreciate that around me. Especially when I'm sick or something. (Wish certain members of my family understood this :P) I have to say though...it really does look horrible :/

I picked it! Ha ha! I don't feel this way though. I don't think anything bad of smokers. I just wish them health. I hope they quit, but it does not mean I think less of them as a person.

yes he was and I miss my paw paw...... more than any one will ever know..... as we all do........ he held us together...... when he was here..... he also died on his youngest son's birthday ... (my uncle Mike....).... how devastating for him....;(

The best smoke for have to be with good meat or fish, something could eat not using the nose and think, I’m a very important person smoke everywhere until dies from lung cancer.

I think it's a persons right if they want to smoke. I am a smoker, and I get really offended at all the nosiness from non-smokers. Why don't you quit smoking? (I don't want to!)

I do not patronize business that are not smoker friendly, such as P.F. Chang's. I couldn't have a drink in their outdoor seating area and smoke while waiting on a table. They told me I had to leave the premises! It was my first visit and I was using a gift card I got for Christmas. I informed the hostess that I didn't appreciate the way I was treated and would never come back, because my money is as green as any non-smoker's and I didn't appreciate being treated like a leper! There is no good reason for restaurants NOT to accomodate both smokers and non-smokers, particularly when they have an outdoor seating area. That's just discrimination.
