    We're people just the same as everyone else. We have jobs. We have families. We enjoy movies, music, and time spent with friends, just like everyone else. We just dress differently. Though I must laugh at anyone who thinks that goths are just kids going through a phase since most folks who would be considered goth (whether or not they actually use the label themselves) are generally well beyond being young enough to be considered kids.

    I've met some pretty awesome goth people. They aren't mean like everyone says, but of course if you insult them then they'll be mean.

    See, I'm not trying nor do I have any reason to need to impress anyone on here, but when I'm out in public, I'm a proffessional and I have to look and act proffessional according to my occupation. as a goth or whatever, you're kind of pigeon holed in to being nothing more than either a mortition or tattoo artist I guess. What kind of business would hire someone who runs around looking like that? Oh, and not to mention what would happen if my daughter dragged home something like that.

    It makes me a terrible parent because I set standards for my children? Come on, are you telling me that your parents don't set standards for you? I want my girls to have respect for themselves as well as be respected in the community. You have to earn respect, you can't expect it. Prejudiced? Sure, I don't like tattoos, odd piercings, and generally looking like a freak, but I don't speak out about it much, because I have good friends who think their body is a tapestry or something. You'll have a change of heart when you grow up a little, most likely.

    I'd have chosen "I like them", but I don't simply like Goth people on principle BECAUSE they're Goth; I like a lot of those I have known because they're cool people.

    I think they're relatively normal without being TOO normal (i.e. boring). I see them first and foremost as people rather than as Goths.
