What Do You Believe Happens to Us After We Die?

I believe what the Bible says and it says that dead people arent conscious of anything. When you die, you cease to exist.

Everyone goes to a better place.

we have to review how we spent our lives...and meet and greet our family and loved ones...some of us will get to glorify God and Christ and help in the battle against the evil ones.. I hope to be allowed to help ...In Revelations it talks many times about the Angels of God and Christ coming on white horses....if there are horses (maybe I can help with them) why not dogs and cats?? I hope to see my own horses again and my loved dogs and cats..then there is the eternal city of God and his children...no more war, or illness, or darkness...I get a lot of comfort out of the last chapters of Revelations

i'm not the one being a troll. i was interested in seeing peoples answers, and so i was reading the thread. rather than simply answering what you believe, you took the time NOT to answer the question, but to inform us all of how amazingly educated you are on 30 different types of world philosophy, while at the same time not answering the question.

We believe that when you die your soul goes up on the roof and you can't get it down.

Our spirits become some of the energy strings that make up all matter in the Universe.

I think whatever happens it isn't worth stressing over. I am gonna live this life like I may die tomorrow and make the most of it.

I believe my Soul will go to spend eternity in Paradise with my Lord and Savior

Man is too egotistical to think it ends with his death. Life MUST go on after him, HE will still exist, hence the heaven crap..

Get real. a person dies, its over, finished, done...

My understanding of the Hebrew Bible is our body will decade in the ground and our spirit will immediately go to be in the present of Yahweh and if your name is not written in the Book of Life your spirit is condemn to Hell.

Jews do not have a Hell, like Christians, with the Heaven and Hell after death thing.
We are nearer or farther from God. As you learn why you should do good, why you should be nice to animals and not mistreat people, you can get closer. If you learn these things in life you are with God when you die, if you have not learned these things you are in neutral, but can still better your position, you are not condemned to stay there if you can learn to be better.
You cannot just do something good and get a check mark in the book, you have to know why you should do good things and do them, to get in the book.

Thank you for sharing! ! ! The jewish faith is just as confusion as all other faiths. I say that because how can a dead person do good or bad now that they are decease. As a student of Christ the only way a person name can be enter into the Book of Life is by having faith in what Christ have done. It have nothing to do with how good or bad my behavior is, , ,It is all about my faith in what Christ have Achieved on my behalf.

Yes, but with Jews you actually have to be a good person, no one else can do it for you and you cannot just do, "good," things to get into the book.

you need to get a better grasp of the hebrew scriptures.
no where ever in the old testament does it mention anything about an eternal punishment, and the closest it comes to even mentioning judgement is Ezekiel 18:19-32

25 “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just? 26 When a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it; for the injustice that he has done he shall die. 27 Again, when a wicked person turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he shall save his life. 28 Because he considered and turned away from all the transgressions that he had committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 29 Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ O house of Israel, are my ways not just? Is it not your ways that are not just?

30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord God. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin.[a] 31 Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Thank you for sharing and clarifing your comment! ! ! For that reason is why the new coverant is better because just by me having faith in what Christ achieved make me righteous before Yahweh. That is very good new and now I am not pressure or stress out to be accepted by Yahewh.
