In my case, there were only 4 and I kept them for my daughter because it was her dad. I also kept a picture of myself and my oldest daughter's father together for her. (SHE IS 12 TODAY I AM OLD)
I have one of my parents' wedding pictures in a drawer, my mum was going to throw it out. i think the wedding album is still at the top of a cupboard but that's just because it has pictures of her relatives in it.
My ex and I stayed on good terms, we thought it would be best for our daughter growing up, and it allowed her to have a good healthy relationship with her siblings from his second marriage. After twenty three years we are still friends. As for the photos, the wedding and the ones through the marriage, were all placed in albums and given to my daughter when she was old enough to want them.
I've never been married so I don't know but I'm quite sentimental and I couldn't see just throwing something precious away or meaningful, even in a bad divorce. I would probably just tuck mine deep away somewhere so I wouldn't have to look at them. I feel that even in bad memories in relationships, there is still some good memories there too. I'm just a hopeless romantic, I suppose.

It pays for itself in the long run...
