    My first choice is: Raw onions, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese, mayo, mustard.

    My second choice is Jalapenos instead of bacon.

    My third choice is BBQ sauce instead of mayo & mustard.

    ..bacon (or ham), cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce and mayo..for bacon try this; cook bacon crisp and make bacon bits with it (I buy those big 3 lb. pkgs. of bacon ends and pieces real cheap and use a meat grinder or food processor.) Mix the bacon bits with the burger when you make the patty...when I do it that way I also put a slice of ham on the burger..

    Bun must be toasted. Fresh lettuce , ripe slice of tomato , (lightly salted), thin slice of onion, mayo, horseradish mustard, and garlic dill pickle on the side.

    Chain burger places I pass, but there is a mom-n-pop place nearby that gets it right.

    Man... I'm so far from the closest American hamburger.... okay... cheese, onions, tomato, bacon, and burger sauce (the 1,000 island like stuff). I also like the buns toasted.

    And, if you ever find yourself near Slovakia, it's not "Bark bark," but "Hau hau."

    I LOVE bacon, cheese hamburger with mayo and light onions and hot pickles sometimes even mustard:-)

    Hold the tomatoes...I am allergic to them.
