Sister Jean!!???!! My goodness! I've never seen you ask this kind of question before. But, to answer your question i honestly don't find myself thinking about them too much...I do find it a bit odd...you know...the idea of a bank...with sperm in it...it somehow just seems...I don't know...weird to me.
Sister I have a sass mouth and sometimes an inclination to post vulgar pictures...most of the time I just choose to refrain from soiling your posts with my silliness.
Gross. I don't think it's something God would approve of. If you want to have children, have consentual sex with your spouse and do it naturally. If your spouse is sterile, maybe you weren't meant to have children. Maybe your purpose is to adopt. Also, what happens if two children from the same donor mix and have children? You are now incestous without knowledge and are creating a bloodline with more problems such as deformities and brain/personality disfunctions.
It's wrong to bring children in this world without them ever knowing who their biological father is, every child always want to know who their biological parent when they grow up, and I think it's very unfair to put them through that quest, cause there is a void there to fill and they will never be happy until it is discovered. The love of one parent isn't enough, they need both. your doing more harm than good. It's best to keep them happy the correct way in life, find a man that is willing to give his sperm and establish a relationship with the child.
If she found true love then she'll be even more happier but she will always think of what it would be like if she could see her real dad, and that would only be a wish in the back of her mind, not something she'll talk openly about to everyone but her personal fantasy, but if it doesn't bother her then she should be fully happy and accept the life she has now with all the remaining support of friends and families, She may not know her father but she has a better life than many unfortunately people in disappointing situations. continue to be her bestest friend and always remind her that she is special.
i don't want to rain on anybody's parade, but here goes:
... when a guy is younger, he thinks that these banks are AWESOME (whether or not he ever sells his vital sap to them, it just sounds terrific to be paid for doing what young guys do anyway)
... as a parent, i think that there are plenty of babies who need homes that sperm banks should not be necessary
... i also think that some people have screwy ideas about "designer babies" (e.g., "I wouldn't like a non-Jewish sperm fertilising me"), and i think THAT is very ixed-mup: mother nature knows best about some of these things ... when mankind meddles too much with nature, the results are not always to mankind's liking (see, e.g., http://www.naturalnews.com/03...
... at some point, too, i think that the chance of biologically-related sibs running into each other unbeknownst to their relation, has to be greater with artificial insemination than with insemination in the normal fashion ... http://www.nytimes.com/2011/0...
after much reflection and some experience with "real life", i am not in favor of sperm banks ...
this is a tough one for me cause while i like the idea of help with getting pregnant I also don't like the anonymous nature of it and that blood brother and sisters could end up together and not know it
