What are your summer vacation plans?

I live 20 minutes from the shoreline in Connecticut and basically just stayed put this summer..

Talking about Atlantic City NJ and a day in Ocean City MD.............NEXT YEAR............REAL TRAVEL SOMEPLACE

if we can affordit later we want to go to phoenix az to see my son. we have plans inthe works so we shall see. we have been making a lot of changes lately so we might be a little better off financially here real soon.

Waiting until after Labor day than people are back to work, kids are back in school and the wife and I pack and go on vacation. It is not yet fall so weather is still nice but the rates have switched from summer to winter. The main thing is to get away from people that continue to talk about politics.

Going back to England, Greece and Morocco of course. Nothing left to see n the U. S.

I have been looking up what to do in santa monica because my kids want to go there this summer. I think it's a family friendly place that has all the great attractions nearby.

I live in SW Germany where I am caring for my elderly mother. I'm in a tiny little farming community on the border to France so I don't need any of that tourist nonsense. Been all over the western world for most of my life anyway.

Going to find a desserted Island with Ginger and Mary Ann.

I'm retired so I come and go as I please. Everyday is a Holiday and every meal is a feast. I have no idea where I will be or when because we just get an idea and go with it in the now. Even time of day and day of the week has no baring. I will leave for a trip any hour. Eat a meal out of the normal time, sleep doing the day. Ever changing! Everything random, spur of the moment. Going to then cancel. Staying home then bam out the door and gone.

Yes I agree retirement is the freedom to do something, change your mind and than go do it again. However we wait until September so things are quieter and most are back to work or school

I dont understand that word. What is vacation? LOL!

I'm gonna go out and enjoy the wilderness!

Don't know yet,buying a new house.We'll have to see what's left after that .

3 days after I get out of school, my mother and I are driving to Ontario, where we'll fly directly to Frankfurt, Germany, where an old foreign exchange student will pick us up. We'll stay with them for a few days, then my mother and I will fly to Rome, Italy! She is performing with a choir there in various churches.


We'll stay in Italy for a week, then I will fly (solo!) back to Frankfurt and stay with my old exchange student for 2 weeks- I'll attend school to see what that's like with the youngest, who's 16 (Still 2 years older than myself). On July 2nd, we will all drive to Paris to see one of my mother's concerts, which I am particularly looking forward to since I dabble a bit in French :)



We fly to Ontario from Paris in time to drive back home, unpack, then drive some more to Helena to spend Independance Day with some friends of ours... I think it's safe to say that I'm incredibly excited!

Me and one of my best friends are going to Malta for two weeks :D We will be at school, learning English and culture of Malta ^^

Any where in Europe is better than here in the States so have fun and bring back life long memories, I have and I miss it everyday !

Can't afford much right now but we might get away for a weekend in the mountains. Hope so anyway.

its either going to see my horses up in Fresno, or staying in my hometown and driving the people around me crazy XD
but i REALLY want to go to Mexico. that's goin on my bucket list.

My family isn't sure what we are doing yet.

I'm gonna buy a big fat book and spend the holidays with it!

Can't afford a vacation, a piece "O" Sh** in Washington has gas prices north of 4 dollars a gallon.

With gas prices up, food cost up, along with everything else costing more, my paycheck has not so again for the 3rd year in a row I am staying home and working

No money for gas--car with 184,000 miles--No money for car. May drive 200 miles to see elderly auntie - if she lives a bit longer...and someone besides Obama gets elected! It will improve if ANYONE besides him is elected! (Surprising how the figures show how much it is improving NOW (?) isn't it? hmmmm?
