Phenomenal, as usual. Each record was brilliant in its own way, Bullets for the raw quality of the music and emotion, Revenge for the aggressive, wild nature of the lyrics, and The Black Parade for the complexity of the layers that it holds. The new record is most definitely going to be special, more so because they've been gone for so long. From what I've heard, it's nothing like the other three albums, and that's just as it should be. The boys have always been able to deliver masterpieces with their work and we know they put their heart and soul into what they do, so we can expect something just as amazing as the guys themselves.

I try not to expect anything... Then I'm certain to be surprised, safe from disappointment. I expect, I dunno, loads of fans to be angry and accuse them of selling themselves, like fans did after the Parade, like fans did after Three Cheers... etc.

oh nothing too much just THE BEST FREAKIN ALBUM EVER!!! :D but i already heard two songs, u guys should look it up on youtube. it does sound more rock-sh. its not as punk, ya know? but it does sound awesome either way. i cant wait

i'm expecting to like maybe 2 or three of their songs. Its going to be like how the black parade was for me, again. I'm not gonna like it at first, but there will be a few songs that i like and others that are just okay. but eventually i'll warm up to liking the whole thing, but probably go back to listening to their older music mostly.

yeah when they first started talking about it, it seemed like they were going to be pushing themselves as far as they could go, musically, with this album. and i was really excited, as was i when they started talking about tbp. but after hearing some of their new songs, its just like classic rock and roll, you know. not that theres anything wrong with it, just that its been done before. over and over again. and its like i want something different!

omg i feel exactly the same, i thought they were gonna make something different but at the same time like their first 2 albums, not that i dont like tbp but in my opinion the first 2 r better. but now that i know that is gonna b more like rock-and-roll i feel like its not gonna b as awesome as they said. i mean i love mcr and theyre fucking great but they should stay in the genre they do, just rock and not rock and roll. i might be wrong

yeah i totally agree, the first two are definately the best. i'm not sure if they can ever make an album to top those again. like they'll keep telling us how great their next album is going to be. and when they say great i think, top everything else. but it just might not be possible. maybe we should be lowering our expectations? or maybe we are wrong lol. maybe this album is going to top everything else. i think we should wait for it to come out first.

i think they are a very gifted band so anything and any direction they plan to go in with the newest album i know i'll love it.. as long as they continue to push the envelope because making safe music was never really their style.. =)

Honestly? I don't have any...Making a set of particular expectations only serves to set you up for disappointement. The only things I really expect from the album are that it will go along with everything the guys have been saying about it in interviews and that it wil be decent listening, cause well, it's MCR ;)

I tihnk we can also expect some fallout from fans. It's happened with every album so far, and I'm already beginning to see the kernels of it taking form just over the past few weeks.

Meh, I don't care about those fallouts. If a band's good, then they've got a style that remains constant, but evolves at the same time. If people try to go along for the ride, expecting the band to stay the same forever, in line with the style of the other music they're listening to, then they're being delusional. The reason I like MCR so much is cause they never cease to surprise with the work they do.

i agree with you once again.. the thing thats most special about MCR is the fact that they can go in different directions and stay true with their message. they ooze passion in every album and they continue to grow.. thats everything i could ask for in a band.. and the fans that expect them to stay the same probably dont understand their music anyway.

Lmao. It does always happen, that's why I don't really bother with them. They can't get it through their heads, and then constantly reply that the band is 'selling out' or that they 'don't sound as good'.

Yeah exactly...although this time, I'm noticing this weird sort of dichotomy going on....On the one hand, you have those people, complaining about how different it is...but on the other, you also have people who are glad that it's different from TBP and are saying that they are excited cause it reminds them of their older albums. To which I must say "....huh?"

I've seen some of their concerts on Youtube videos. Not exactly music to my ears.
