    Depends on mood and taste . Classics are classics for a reason . When the same books are read for multiple generations there has to be something there .

    Animal Farm , George Orwell should be mandatory .
    The Good Earth By Pearl S Buck is entertaining

    Fantasy ?
    Try reading the "Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever" by Steven Donaldson .

    Education ?
    Try reading " the Dancing Wu LI masters " by Gary Zukav
    " 1776 " by David McCullough is an unforgettable read
