    That is why I have recommended the reinstatement of corporal punishment and placing former Nuns on the bus with permission to wrap their knuckles with a ruler if the kids step out of line! They should be disciplinarians!

    LOL...I agree, they should be disciplinarians, but according to my school district, that's not what they are being paid for....they are to MONITOR only. GO FIGURE!!

    Alot are older people who are retired or donate their time so kids make it to and from school safe.

    After reinstating corporal punishment, the school district should employ only retired Nuns as bus monitors. They should wear their habits and display rulers for the knuckles of those who step out of line! There will be no disciplinary problems.

    reporting on what's the children and bus driver are doing on the bus ride to and from school would be a primary duty. Have other bus monitors experienced what this ole lady went through? In my day none of the childrens action would have been tolerated and look how far we have come.

    they are to watch over and control the kids for the driver. and cross the kids if they have to cross the street. and to keep peace on the bus. i did drive a school bus for a little while
