Were you forced into Boy/Girl Scouting ?

I was forced and I hated it! everyone there were a bunch of annoying nerds and those pack meetings were really boring. What was funny about it, is that it was American boy scouts, and I didn't speak a word of English back then, and it was really complicated for me to learn all those scout laws,motto,etc.
If you were also forced, tell your experience of how it was

Nope....I loved being a Girl Scout and was very upset when my troop disbanded and there were no other troops in our area for me to join. Now 30 years later I've been a leader for 7 years and my daughter has been a GS for 9 years. I also hold positions in the local service unit and day camp.

I did it as an extra activity in elementary school. Now my sons were forced into it. It goes hand and hand with LDS teachings for males. I didn't do the forcining, my wife did. When they got old enough, they got out of it!!!
