I was so sick once that I could hard lift my head up. Even with a bunch of cover on me I was chilling.

I had a severe case of the flu around 20 years ago +/-. My poor family worried that I was dying. But, ObamaCare had not come about, so I survived.

I think the worst for me was when I was sick in the army, but I was also a gunner on a humvee. It was winter and we were on training exercises with me up in the hatch with a high fever feeling totally ill and having that frozen air and rain hitting me. I wanted to die ha ha.

I think once when I was a kid, and once as an adult. I remember being sick with it as an adult was really bad. At least twice as bad as a cold. Achy joints, totally drained, had to basically crawl from bed to the bathroom and back.

It was, I felt like dying. I had a scheduled appointment for Obstetrics that day, I could barely walk. I got a..."wow, you really are sick." from the Doc. I preceded to give him the very evil eye. :)

I hate these doctors that are incapable of showing any kind of sympathy. had a doc like this; he just stared at me from behind his silver-rimmed glasses......always wondered what it would be like to be given really bad news by him.

Actually it was the Cold and Stomach Flu (in order). Everything else was faked by me or somebody else.

A few times in my life, with a fever no higher than 99. I would get better within a week and not once was I hospitalized.

When I was a child, I was sickly with everything, flu, blood poisoning, multiple colds, high fevers, all the childhood illnesses, I survived them all. Except for my 3 months of hospitalization in 1997, knock on wood, I almost never got a cold these days. The high fever while in the hospital must have strengthened my immune system. Who knows?

Many times. The last serious bout was during the holidays in 2005-2006. It knocked the stuffings out of me for at least a month. I had the Hong Kong Flu in 1969. Always get your flu shots!

Yes, when I was 12. My hair literally hurt. I think my immune system said, "That's it. We're done", and created super-antibodies. I haven't had the flu since!

And I was out of work for several days. I truly thought I would have to die to get better. Never been so sick in all my life. This was way back when the Hong Kong flue was going around. Never knew if that was what it was but it was bad.

Nobody ever said what it was. I had a 110 degree fever according to the chart on the bed, and the doctors at the university student health service declared me dead. They were in the process of deciding how to tell my parents when I surprised them by coming back to life and recovering enough for them to kick me out of the health service. I kept coming in and out of consciousness for about a week and had nothing to eat during that time, yeah I was starved.

Yes, I have been very sick with the flu. Not for a long time though. I heard on the news flu was going to be very bad this year and start early. I hope they are wrong.
