Were you ever close to dying?

was attacked by 2 guys on PCP years ago, one had an axe, the other a pipe wrench. 2am in my apt. complex parking lot. I was able to avoid being hit by both several times, and ran like hell when i had the chance. guy with the axe was as fast as me. I happened to be armed with a 10" hunting knife and tried to avoid using it. adrenaline gives a boost but after that boost, its exhausting...i heard and felt him close in behind me and glanced back, he was ready to bring the axe down on me. I dropped to the ground at a dead run and he tripped over me. I pulled my knife as he got up, told him you have one swing, if you miss im gonna cut you. he missed and i buried my knife in his chest as the other jackass with the pipe wrench caught up. he just went to his buddy who crumpled to the ground. I made my way back to my apt. and called the police. testified against both in court 2 months later. guy with the axe did 2 years the other, 9months.
I had a heart attack last sept 6th while at work. I have never had heart burn or anything like that, so when it started, I took a break and had a couple cigarettes thinking whatever was wrong would pass. I informed the owner of the property i was working on that i felt off and was taking a break. I was stubborn and avoided the aid car for almost a half hr, before I said it was ok to call them. aid car came, but soon learned they couldn't handle it and had to call the EMT who happened to be a block down across the street from where we where... cholesterol closed the main artery that supplies my heart with oxygen. It was almost 1hr from the time it started till the time my most awesome cardiac Dr and team had the stent's in place. I have no heart damage what so ever :)
