Not once, I love the dark in fact. I need it to be as dark as possible when I go to bed. The dark is like a non living friend to me. My favorite time of the day is night, I am a fan of the dark, I find it to be very calming and relaxing.
Due to chronic nightmares from adolescence through my 40's and 50's, I was never able to sleep in a dark room. Awake, the dark doesn't bother me, but I would have some kind of night light or whatever for years. And then, after much hard work and struggling for all those years, I managed to finally defeat those blasted nightmares that ruined my life and now I can actually sleep in a dark room. But I don't do it often. No sense pushing my luck, you know. I usually have the TV on for most of the night anyway, but when I don't have that TV light, there is always a small night light that goes on at dark. Doesn't have to be big and bright, just something casting a little bit of light.
when i was 3, but whats in the dark, but that's a norther question. Vashta Nerada, is not darkness it is microscopic, carnivorous creatures which use shadows to hunt and latch onto their prey
I don't remember ever being afraid of the dark, even as a kid. I remember having a nightlight, but that was because it was a present, and it had a kitty on it, not because I couldn't sleep in the dark.
I remember being afraid of what could be in the dark--one year as a teenager at a church girls' camp, and there were rumors of there being a murder at another campground near ours, and the killer was on the loose. It was for real, the counselors had everyone sleep together and stay within sight that first night we had word of an incident happening in the neighboring campgrounds. So everyone was nervous about some killer loose in the woods in the dark, but nothing happened, and I never had a lasting fear of the dark after that either.
In a haunted house with no sound.. HELL YES!!!.. every time there is a blackout I see shadows trying to peice together into one being like a puzzle and running across the room till it's wind made a saucer smash on the floor. we hired an exorcist about 4 times until we could resume living comfortably in the house.. but there is still negative engery in the house that needs another exorcist appointment.
I want to believe but I haven't seen anything worth believing in. There's generally a natural explanation for everything in the universe. Fear is real. Fear can make us see things that aren't there; patterns that don't really exist. Look at all of these ghost hunter shows. Do they EVER find anything solid? No. Never. "Ohh my EMF meter just jumped when I went near some live electrical wires! It's a ghost!" LOL
