We never really grow up, we just learn how to act in public. Do you agree or disagree?

I will have to disagree with this question. We do know how to act in public, however there are some people become more mature than others like a real man learns how to treat a lady right, and at a young age little boys don't what anything to do with girls until they get older. Also we learn the differences between right and wrong even more when we get older. Now if you don't believe that we never really grow up than that's fine, I won't judge you on that, all I am doing is telling you how I feel.

i agree to an extent, because it really depends on the person. i always think i'm growing up when i revisit something i used to enjoy and find myself not liking it any more. i feel like that's a sign that i'm growing up. i'd rather just be peter pan, though.

I'm 60 and I'm not sure if I have that "how to act in public" thing down pat yet.

That is very true for men. The old saying is: "The only difference between a man and a boy is the price of the toy". Most women are much more serious. Males and females balance each other out that way. Of course it can also cause tension.

I've seen child get away with things we wouldn't have dared to in the sixties.
They also get more material things too.

I agree that growing up is a lost art in today's society, everyone hasn't endured enough hardships to mature beyond what they have in my opinion. However, I believe that people never stops growing if they choose to, and that there are mature people without the thought processes of teenagers.

    Take care,

All adults are children who have sharpened their minds and learned how to react in a smart way. When my older brother tells me that I'm not a kid, I tell him "teenagers are just kids who have grown a little taller and a little smarter. Being a kid isn't judged by how old you are. You could be 9 or 99, being a kid is how you see yourself in your head, not in the mirror." :D
