We know it, but do our fellow Americans, the mainstream media, our friends, neighbors, and elected officials?

Do they know that our current Federal Income Tax Code stymies business growth and polarizes Americans into haves and have-nots? Do they know the stagnating effect that 77,000 pages of tax code riddled with special interest loopholes, contradictions and inequities is having on America’s young workers – the future leaders of U.S. business and trade?

The economic effects of the tax code are not just trivial talking points; they are relevant facts and vital truths every American needs to know.

Take for example the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) August 2012 Jobs Report released just last week; it is abysmally disappointing. The economy created 96,000 jobs instead of the 250,000 forecast for the month. The unemployment number of 8.1% seems better than the 8.3% in July, but don’t be fooled. The reality is, that for every one person who found a job in August four more (378,000 in all) dropped out of the job market. ... I want a real solution. I want a solution that brings jobs back to America and puts Americans back to work. That’s why it is imperative that you help us educate everyone in your sphere of influence about the FairTax® Plan. These people need to know how and why the FairTax will create the kind of economic growth that will create enough jobs to pull the long term unemployed back into the workforce.

Consider sharing the recent jobs report with your friends, neighbors and elected officials and include a link to www.FairTax.org. Let them know why you believe the FairTax is the only solution to our ailing economy. Tell your elected officials that you will only support candidates who have the courage to stand for jobs and the economy, who are willing to stand for the FairTax.

Let your fellow Americans know that the FairTax is the only tax replacement plan that can and will jump-start the economy. Let them know that FairTaxers from coast to coast want a simple, fair and transparent national consumption tax that taxes people on what they spend, not what they earn.

You have a powerful weapon to support your argument with the FairTax video. This video dramatically underscores the plight of today’s young Americans, ages 18-29, who are unable to find work, even with college degrees.

Let’s make sure that before Election Day, every American sees the FairTax video and knows about the FairTax Plan.

Let’s make sure that America knows there is a plan for economic prosperity and it is the FairTax Plan!

Then get your Congress critters to support the FairTax. Under this plan it is reported that all of the offshore jobs would return home, AS WELL AS foreign companies would located their operations here.

"Not only would companies decide to come back but new businesses would come to America to escape taxes in their country of origin. This would bring more jobs, salaries would increase and people would spend more. Also, with no federal income taxes including personal, estate, gift, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, self-employment, and corporate taxes, there would be no reason mega rich tax evaders would need to hide their fortunes in offshore accounts. With the return of that money would come more investment in our economy." ( http://www.fairtax.org/site/N... )

Sounds like a good idea. I particularly like ...

Fixing the tax code could go along way in fixing the economy but there are other moves as well that can help. Like rolling back some of the EPA’s regulation that keep being pilled on to businesses and energy cost as the EPA has slated 33 generating plants to shut down. How many of them have already shut down I do not know. But Business have to have cheap power as well. The other thing is for the President to announce that he is going to permit more drilling. This would make oil prices drop and the cost of living so people have more money to spend. This also reduces the debt as it creates more taxes for both the states and Federal governments. Also stop using food grains to make ethanol. It has already been proven that it is more polluting than gasoline and a very poor return on investment. If it was not for the subsidies it would have already failed.

All of your suggestions rely on the Government doing "the right thing". Those supporting the FairTax plan contend that it IS the right thing. It also has a much more immediate fix.

Rolling back regulation? Current projections have a per employee cost to business of $10,000 per year. The FairTax eliminates a tax of 35%, right now. That is based on Their net income less credits. Business in the US pays some $228 billion in taxes. With that money being available for expansion just how vibrant would the economy be? Not to mention the foreign companies that would locate their operations here.

It is difficult to find a figure for US funds held offshore but it seems safe to say it is in the trillions. Under the FairTax all of that money would come home as well. Another huge kick in the butt for the economy.

I have no problem with a fair tax it would work. What I had up above here was other things that are needed as well. Nothing could improve things any fast than the President to announce that he was going to open Anwar for drilling.
