...........when in my one and only brief marriage, Both of Our dogs were easy to train, .........but I haven't a clue where they are now, ........ probably died of broken hearts, not seeing or living with me anymore......... my ex wife, thank you very much........ NOT........
Well since my pet is a feline, training doesn't apply. He wants to comply to my urgings on how a good kitty should live, he truly does in his little cat heart, but sometimes it's difficult if not impossible.
I lost my German Shepherd Bodie in January, and thought I would never find another as trainable and just all around great temperament and personality , anyone who says lightning never strikes twice is wrong because at 5 months old my new Shepherd is almost as good as my last . It is almost as if Bodie took over the new puppy because he didn't want to leave .
I got my black lab when she was 6 weeks old and she was house-trained at 8 weeks, could walk without a leash (in a city) by 10 weeks and has been the most wonderful, well-behaved, loving dog ever.
I recommend the book "Smarter than you think" for training puppies.
My little yorkie seems to have some deficits. It might not ever be possible to have her completely trained. She was a breeders dog and she had to have a c section and it seems it may have left her with some problems. So we just have to be patient with her.
I have a young Chinese Crested but he has brain damage and it is hard to train him. My other pets.. cats and my sons golden lab were not hard to train..My cats come running when their name is called and they do not walk on counters or climb all over everything I train them not to..
I have a lot of pets and they have all been pretty easy to train, but I have one dog in particular who is the smartest dog I have ever known, he catches on to everything the first time, he was a absolute breeze to train.
I recommend the book "Smarter than you think" for training puppies.
My really smart boy...
But don't get me wrong, I LOVE dogs too. We just don't have the yard for one right now.
