Want to tan without burning? Here is how.

I used to burn all the time, so did my daughter. I tried this trick and I have A GREAT tan and never burned. Always use a little sunscreen. Get a egg timer, when you lay out in the pool, set the timer for 10 to 15 min. When it goes off, get in cool water and stay until your skin is cooled off. Reset the timer and do the other side. Repeat with cool water. If you are pastie you might do this once a day for a while but I repeat it 2 times a day. After, I put on a tank top and shorts to continue tanning, but still use the timer and cool water. If you do burn, put 12 tea bags in a bath of water and let it steep for a while and get in and soak in it. The tea pulls the heat out and helps with the burn.

Not if you use the right sunscreen. I have malasma, which causes very dark spots on my face from the sun. I use SPF 50 sunscreen made for the face. I'm 44 almost 45 and have no wrinkles so far. Maybe its luck or something, bit you should always take care of your skin. I spoke to my dermatolagist and he said as long as we keep our face and skin hydrated and clean it will hold up great. He also said wearing make-up while tanning is not good. It baked into the pores and makes it harder on the skin. So far this year I have had no dark spots show up. And I use a lotion that also has olive oil in it. It's not greasy and helps hydrate.

Shame I don't want a tan. I already have olive skin and even if I didn't I love the look of pale skin.
