A woman, Ruth Bendik, lost her wallet to a pickpocket in 1982. That same blue leather wallet was found in 2009 inside a dying cherry tree in Central Park. All that was missing from Bendik's wallet was $20 in cash. All of Bendik's credit cards, student ID and other cards were still in the wallet, 27 years later. A park worker found the wallet under five feet of compost, and then Mrs. Bendik was tracked down to be reunited with her wallet.

unfortunately it has never reappeared. One did but it was empty and was found in a garbage barrel.

but ive found wallets an always tried to give them back to their rightful owner ive actually done so on most occasions which makes me very happy

It just fell out of my pocket and a homeless man ran and gave it back to me, he didnt take anything so i gave him the 25 dollars that was in there anyways, i was just glad to get my ID and credit cards back.

and that is a cool wallet 4 this choice of answer like one I saw in Hot Topic but it doesn't bend like the one below...I don't really carry a wallet, just when I need to...So, I can't lose what I don't carry around huh... but I lost my permit yesterday that is way more important than a wallet

...though, I have found a lost wallet before, and returned it to it's owner...he was very grateful to say the least.

I have had my wallet stolen before, and it really sucks!! Horrible feeling...

I wouldn't know if this counts. One time I was inside of an Incredible Universe store(which is now Fry's) browsing the video games with my best friend and I went to get out my 100 dollar bill out of my front pocket. I found it gone. My best friend and I searched the entire store looking for it, probably spending about 3 hours looking for it, but no luck. So we just traipsed out of the store, both of us disappointed. But I told him that who knows, that 100 dollars might've gone to a person less fortunate than me, in which case I didn't feel so bad. He also felt better after I said that.

Yes, the university i was at had a few little shops, i bought something from one of them and then while i was putting things back in my bag i must have left it sitting on the seats opposite the shops without noticing. Some kind hearted person handed it into the pharmacy (which was one of the shops), they looked at my student ID card, got the phone number from their records as that was where i picked up my prescriptions and called me! i'm so glad that there are still honest people left in the world =)

I left my purse in a movie theater one time. Someone stole the money from my wallet and dumped the contents of my purse all over the theater floor. I was lucky to get most of my stuff back.
