No quite frankly, the Chinese will eat pretty much anything and everything. What they will eat puts western society to shame for the amount of good, edible food that we waste. Most of the reason we waste food is due to social perception and not necessarily because the food itself is bad.

Urine is a bit odd, but people oft wear tweed (not so much a british fashion anymore apparently) and that is soaked in sheeps urine. Dye is oft fixed with urea/ammonia.

Definitely odd in my book, but then I said I'd never eat sushi or shark eyes... (crunch in teh middle soft on the outside...it's really weird)
