The woman in the first image is Sophia Neophitou, the casting director for Victorias Secret and she compared Kate Upton to a tabloid topless model:

“‘We would never use Ms. Upton for a Victoria’s Secret show … She’s like a Page 3 girl. She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”

    The reason Upton isn't suitable for VS (or for modeling of any kind, IMHO) is because the girl has the figure of a refrigerator. NO curves whatsoever. She also has no leg definition at all: her calves are almost non-existent. Even the skinnier VS models have some leg definition, and all of them have an hourglass figure. It has nothing to do with Upton being a "bimbo", too basic or "fat".

    Another thing, Sophia Neophitou's appearance has absolutely no bearing on this matter. She was paid to do her job and she did it, end of story. Besides, if "jealousy" were the reason why VS dismissed Upton, then how do you explain them hiring those other Angels, all of whom are far more attractive than Upton?

    Sophia should look in the mirror before commenting on beautiful women, she says she has the type of face 'anyone' could buy, clearly she isn't anyone. Given the choice of a million dollars and a night with sophie against paying a million dollars and a night with Kate,(ignore the prostitution implications there, its just for a point) I'd choose to pay, and I'm not a millionaire.     Sophia is certainly entitled to her opinion, but me thinks there may be more to the story. To say she isn't the right fit is one thing, but the disparraging remarks were overboard, she's mad about something. Maybe Kate declined Sophia's invite to the casting couch.
