At an ill-fated press conference in 1984, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Margaret Heckler boldly predicted an effective AIDS vaccine would be available within just two years.
But a string of failed attempts - punctuated by a 2007 trial in which a Merck vaccine appeared to make people more vulnerable to infection, not less - cast a shadow over AIDS vaccine research that has taken years to dispel.

+5A successful vaccine would be great for women in Africa where rape is virtually a continental pastime. At least they wouldn't get infected.
Think about it, the theory is that given a small dose of the virus components, boosts amunity. Would you get an HIV vaccination?

aids is dropping worldwide. aids is NOT a virus. it was man made. but of course you don't want to hear that. there are a lot of factors in this.basically aids is a conglomeration of about 30 different diseases. that does not happen in nature. and who is profiting from this?? why big pharma who continue to use scare tactics on people. you really must get informed better.
and the fact that top virologists say there is no such virus means nothing??
wow! okay,get the vaccine, who knows what it will do to you. vaccines are useless anyway. and yes,the number of people getting aids has been steadily dropping. now why would that happen if its a virus??
