U S wrestler gives Michelle Obama a lift

U.S. wrestler Elena Pirozhkova hoisted first lady Michelle Obama off the ground in a kinder, gentler and most uncommon fashion Friday.

That's how real Americans behave. Friendly, like equals, The President is not afraid to fist-bump a janitor and the First Lady willingly displays cameraderie with athletes representing their country. The Obamas are real people who don't overestimate their own personal importance. They see their positions as responsibilities rather than making them better than everyone else. We have become used to our Presidents behaving like royalty, superior in some way to everyone else.
How can we be better represented? By billionaires? By dynasties? or by decent, hard-working people who have experienced life like ordinary Americans have?

Presidents are no better than the people of the country. Trying doing that to any first lady before Obama... you'd more than likely be shot. Good on the Obamas.

I would say no if it were any other First Lady, but Michelle is an exception to the rule.

The wrestler did ask permission first, and I think it is great that Michelle went along with it!

I meant to click hell yeah, cool because that is cool. If that wrestler dyed their hair bright red, they would have the same hairstyle as Ronald Mcdonald. Awesome!

The First Lady is a good sport and has a sense of humor. I'm sure she wasn't offended by this. Michelle is down to Earth and has no problem with children or adults touching or hugging her in public venues.

Michelle Obama (from what I see on the news) seems like a great woman with a sense of humour. I'm sure she wouldn't have been too upset.

That's why we love the Obamas here in New Zealand. They don't take themselves too seriously, which is what we're all about in my country.
