I'm a Canadian and I love my country. On the other hand, I do love America as well.
When you have the money, it does not matter where you live. But since we are an average family, I much prefer to live in Canada simply because Canada has a better government system..especially in medicare and also better job opportunities.
I've only been to the US, so I'm going on that, and the fact that very sadly I have encountered some extremely rude and offensive Canadians online over the years!! I mean EXTREMELY so!
Even though I know this site is heavily American. But I was in the USA not too long ago and I have to say I love their patriotism, and I think we should follow suit (for our country, of course!)
I love their patriotism too, just don't ask me to be the same towards my own country lol I believe it's one of those things: You can criticize your country, say it sucks, but if someone else says that, you'll be mad! lol
Hi, could you explain to all the people in here who say this is a stupid question and that don't understand what's the point of this question. I think you are the only one so far who understood it exactly as I meant it when I wrote it XD
i would rather live in where than the u,s i cnt wait till i get out of here
. thats just me though iknw alot of ppl like the us but not me sorry even though i live in the u,s
There's no rivalry.
I love my home, the US. But Canada is great too. If I couldn't live in the 'States I'd gladly reside in Canada. Hell, if a Tea Party candidate wins the next presidential election I'm definitely looking into it. I just wish I was a younger man with a better skill set.
I didn't realize there was a strong rivalry between the two. I'd have to go with the US, because that is where I'm from, and ultimately, home is where your heart is. I've been to Canada, though, and it's a fine country. Great people, health care that's better than America's, relatively low crime. It's a great place, but like I said, America is home, and it will always be special to me. It may have it's problems, and I'm not some arrogant, simple minded fool that is going to insist that it's the best country in the world. It has it's problems, but I still love it. It's home.
I never said there was a strong rivalry between the two, I'm just an outsider wishing to hear people out and get to know both these countries, some say Canada is better because of the healthcare, but I've heard many others complain about that (Not on this poll). And I believe that home is where your heart is, that's why I don't consider my country to be my home XD
The US is my home. In many respects I think the US is better than any nation on earth, simply because if we actually followed our Constitution we'd be the freest nation in the world. I am a huge fan of freedom. Canada is a great nation though in its own right. The people of Canada are fantastic friends to have. They are a great ally (most of the time). When the Canadian people took in our people immediately after 9/11 because our citizens couldn't get home it really was the only bright spot in an otherwise very scary gloomy, depressing time. Even though I don't like a lot of what their government does, the people of Canada are great.
I have no idea why there is a rivalry. I've been to Canada & everyone was very kind there (it's also a very beautiful country). I chose the US because it is my home and I love it.
I don't understand why you're getting so many negative comments. Your question is legitimate, there IS a rivalry between the two countries (at least to many people, & from both countries). I think that you were hoping to hear from those people in particular. There's nothing wrong with that!

Rivalry over what? The only reason why I chose Canada is because I am Canadian.
