This is a useless organization. We need to get the heck out of it.. Or do away with it.

SEND THIS SOCIALIST/MARXIST GROUP OF UNITED NATIONS PACKING...

WHY ARE WE FUNDING THIS WHEN THEY HATE US, AND WHAT OUR COUNTRY STANDS FOR?

LET THEM HAVE THEIR " NEW WORLD ORDER."

WE WILL KEEP OUR CONSTITUTION, AND BILL OF RIGHTS....

For many years the US did not pay for its membership. Nor did the Soviet Union when that was going. You forfeited the constitution when you started keeping secret accounts. You allowed the government to spend what they liked on anything they liked without any obligation to let you know. The constitution died with the launch of the Manhattan Project.

Your nuts.. America has bee the major funder of the UN from the time it started, up till now. And what does the Manhatten project have to do with anything stupid... We were at war at that time.. Brush Up On Your History... And the Constitution... People like you are the problem..

The US has vetoed most resolutions from the United States. The US doesn't usually sign up to any international agreement. They don't like the global warming thing, the ICC, limitations of arms. The US is really a maverick nation like John McCain.

It is conceivable that there may soon come a time when the UN may have no need for the US. The influence, both financially and militarily in this new world is inexorably shifting away from the west, and is headed quickly to the east.

Those once dominated and controlled may one day decide that they have little time or use for a foundering failing giant, and eventually display their strength to the world and show that it is they that now hold all the cards, and that they are now firmly in control devoid and free of any western influence.

WHY NOT LET CHINA TAKE OVER THE UNITED NATIONS.... IS THAT THE EASTERN COUNTRY YOUR TALKING ABOUT...

China, India, and whole swathe of burgeoning eastern economies, even Russia is set for an economic revival. By the end of this decade China will be the leading world economy, that is for certain, but it will by no means be the only eastern nation to exorcise it's newly acquired economic power. India has already overtaken Japan in it's GDP and shows no signs of slowing, quite the opposite. Russia with it's vast natural resources is soon set to do the same.

With the possible exception of the EU, which might fail, though most analysts believe this to be unlikely, the economic clout will have shifted solidly towards the east and away from the west. The USA may find by the middle of the 21st century, or even sooner, that it is relegated to 3rd or 4th in the world, perhaps even lower by some estimates.

Yes I agree, I am so sick of the UN. They should not have any say so over our country at all. That is ridiculous that this country would even think about yielding to the UN for any reason. That they would have such authority over the US. This shows a weakness in our country. America is supposed to be the strength of the world but our leaders have weakened America.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, there may be a few percent of fanatical extremists but the western world is just the same - take HItler for example.

It just amazes me what cruel animals the human race comprises - and we're credited with being compassionate and having the ability to think and consider the decency, rightness and consequences of our actions.

Thanks for writing, it started of as League of Nations, worked together for peace and control the bombs that was mostly between America and Russia, the fear of destroy the world. Then along the way it changed to United Nations and I believe they do some good but they now want one world government, so I believe they may have overstepped there powers.

You paint a good, if simplistic picture here, but the UN has not ever, and does not now, want a world government. What has made you think that they do?

  • Thank y... us 2012/12/07 02:18:37

Agenda 21 is a non-binding, voluntarily implemented action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development.

It has nothing to do with any "World Government".
