Unemployment Rises; AP Spins Facts for Obama Regime?

According to Gallup, the unemployment rate in February: 9.1%. We’re gonna get the federal unemployment number here pretty soon, and we will hear what the Obama regime is claiming the new unemployment number is. Now, unemployment compensation requests or applications went up by about 8,000. Jobless claims jumped 8,000 to a seasonally adjusted 362,000 in the week ending March the 3rd. This is according to the Labor Department. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast that claims would rise by 2,000. So this was unexpected. Claims rose by 8,000. That’s the government. Gallup says that their unemployment rate is 9.1%.

The only real difference between the Bureau of Labor Statistics and Gallup is that Gallup does not make any so-called seasonal adjustments like the government does. The seasonal adjustment seems to be the government’s secret sauce. Maybe that’s the government’s pink slime.

It's election season so the numbers will continue to be skewed(by both sides). Here's a little tid bit.......the February report (for January) has been revised upwards to some 285,000 jobs and for the whole month of February the conservatives claimed that it was due to seasonal hiring which the liberals denied with a passion with claims that many became full time workers or that seasonal hiring was only a small part of it.. So now we have a report of 227,000 jobs for February (thats nearly a 21% reduction from the prior month in jobs added) which indicates that either the January number was a result of seasonal hiring or that hiring is now on the decline again.......which is it liberals?....if the number goes down when the March report is released will you simply revert back to your IT'S BUSH'S FAULT CHANT?

Right. Over 200,000 jobs were added last month, but you think that means a rise in unemployment. Good one.

Edit: Sorry, it was 227,000 added jobs, the 24th consecutive month of job gains

I don't understand why she thinks that 8,000 more unemployment claims means that unemployment is going up. 227,000 minus 8,000 is still 219,000 isn't it? And the fact that claims are up means that the people who the Bush Recession drove completely out of the job market are now coming back.
