I think they should load some other holy books on there and maybe a few nonreligious ones as well. Yeah you know what I'm talking about. The day "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins is alongside the bible in a hotel will be the happiest of my life.

I prefer the bible to be there on the table after I've replaced it's drawer as a condom dispensary. Nothing brings me closer to Jesus than banging three chicks at once (two of whom are married) with a book that tells me that all the bad things I've done can be erased away with saying the magic words "Jesus, forgive me of my sins." I can do it as much as I need because it's like a reusable coupon with the small sins, as long as I don't kill anyone whom didn't deserve it then I'm good.

Did you also know that Bibles are also perfect in the use of erotic spankings? It also contains many stories of strange things to try, sexually.

The pages are quite thin. Good for fire but not good for hygiene. I personally prefer 2 ply myself. Seriously, if people realized half the ridiculous stuff in there they would all become atheists. It is so blatantly obvious that the Abrahamic god was an early nationalistic deity to justify barbarism and brutality all while ensuring that the priesthood had control over their bloodthirsty reavers. Moses was the founder and what was their opening opus? They ransacked a city, Jericho, that just wanted a bunch of armed fanatics to move on and leave them alone. They perpetuated a vicious and brutal campaign of genocide to steal another people's land.

Monotheistic religious are based upon the vale of authority and power always leading to oppression and brutality.

How about I prefer neither - what a waste of paper.... Even for the religious I've got to believe they are seldom actually used... Money spent on bibles would be better spent doing other good work that churches do.

I don't have a kindle. I like books, I like to own them, I like to see them on my shelf. I guess I am old school.

As far as the Bible is concerned, if it gets people reading about the love of God and Jesus, then I am all for it.

I realize by the time my 5 year old goes to college, all textbooks will probably be on some kind of kindle. I could see that being more convenient. I remember having to carry 5 or 6 heavy books in my back pack when I was in college. In the future, just a kindle with 10 textbooks in it. Much better.

I'm a big fan of e-books and the Kindle but not in a hotel room. It would be like handling a remote control.... COVERED WITH GERMS! No thanks.

But using e-books is great in that I can change the font to suit my eyes and it remembers where I am at in the many books I read. I use an iPad to do my kindle/e-book reading.

Sure, because the paper bible in the hotel room can't possibly have germs on it and the pages can easily be wiped clean.

That's true but then library books would be just as bad as well I guess. In any case, I don't like picking up hotel remotes. Just my own personal opinion. A Kindle would be in the same class.

Did you touch the doorknob to enter the room?
Use a little common sense. The remote might even get a quick wipe-down by the cleaning staff.

Truth be told I'm not crazy about the bible but I loathe to use an E-Reader, I prefer a nice leather bound in my hand rather than plastic. As for the bible, I do enjoy to study it sometimes.
