I think they should load some other holy books on there and maybe a few nonreligious ones as well. Yeah you know what I'm talking about. The day "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins is alongside the bible in a hotel will be the happiest of my life.

I'd personally like to see a copy of Christopher Hitchens' "God is not great" in the drawer of every motel and hotel. That'd be a good start.

Hummm...I read the Bible, and I sure don't feel "Poisoned"! Rather, "Cleansed" would be a better word...

at 70 + dollars a pop, 1 in every nightstand, 2-3 nightstands in a room, and depending on the number of rooms the hotel has, NOT to mention if someone steals the kindles.
i think its wasteful to put a kindle in every room! Because half (at least) dont even have time to read while traveling , becuase you "sleep" at a hotel, and spend most of your time outside of the hotel.
Just seems like with economic times the way they are, that is just a wast of money.

I am not religious at all, but just from an environmental and economic standpoint, having the bible on a kindle makes more sense.

Because kindles dont have any thing bad for the environment in them.

No they do, but overall a kindle is more Eco friendly. Also, paper making is a hazardous process that damages forest lands and surrounding areas,

But what about hemp? And many new logging practices are helping pave the way for a greener world. But I am happy that some people out there are concerned about the environment. Cheers.

It's nice to have the bible on a kindle pad, but don't eliminate the bible all together. I love chillin down by the ocean reading the bible.

I like books, but don't hate kindle either. I don't know how much this is going to cost them, but personally I'd be a little concerned about people stealing the kindles.

If there's a copy of the Bible on the Kindle, then I don't understand at all what the issue is.

I don't live by the Judea-Christian bible but I think it deserves paper, so it won't be manipulated anymore that it is now. You can't remotely change leather/pen and paper like you can an online bible.

Where's the who cares? I feel like people stealing is bad, bad even I may be tempted to steal a kindle in my room at a hotel...

I think hotel are dumb if they don't foresee consequences of this change though. I mean, hotels are already pricey, so wouldn't this increase the cost in rates?

I didn't even think that anyone read the bible in a hotel/motel room. If I'm staying in a hotel/motel it probably means that I'm on vacation or a long weekend and the last thing I'm thinking of is the bible or really any other book. I probably want to be out doing something.
