CNSNews.com reports that "A report issued by the United Nations-backed Global Commission on HIV and the Law recommends that nations around the world get rid of 'punitive' laws against prostitution -- or what it calls “consensual sex work” -- and decriminalize the voluntary use of illegal injection drugs in order to combat the HIV epidemic." Do you think prostitution should be legalized worldwide?

I have never and will never pay for a prostitute.

    I don't even like strippers.

That being said, I want to decrease the size and scope of government even for a disgusting industry that is harmful to all involved.

    It's not a profession, it's a way of living in sin. It's not a job. It's a nightmare.

Please just legalize it already. No one cares if you think it's immoral. It's not your body or your business. And it could use regulation to keep the people safe.

Those with valid arguments don't typically utilize logical fallacies such as ad hominem or poisoning the well.

You've used both on numerous occasions in this thread with your baseless allegations that your antagonists are prostitutes.

    Indeed.

The small arms treaty will be brought before the senate today.

Only 51 senators have declared their opposition to it. That means we have 49 traitors wiling to abdicated authority regarding our second amendment to foreign powers.

A victimless crime. What 2 consenting adults do in private is no one's business but theirs. Safe and regulated. Girls should be checked medically. Try to get the pimps out of it too. the girls are doing the work and should be paid fairly for their services.

How would government regulation increase drugs and violence and disease? It would decrease them because people wouldn't be doing it behind closed doors.

But if it were legal, the majority of it would be moved to safe brothels. That's the point.

    Street Prostitution? No.
Regulated Brothels, like what they have in Nevada? Possibly.

While I find Prostitution disgusting, I also realize that having a total ban on it has not been productive either. I believe there can be a compromise if regulated properly.

But only if it is regulated locally. The last time the feds took over a brothel it went out of business.
