Unlikely. Polling accurately is a difficult.

I prefer a large sample and averaging all polls together.

Twitter: An odd collection of mostly young technonerds who don't know how to communicate properly or are striving to communicate to strangers because their list of real friends is nonexistent. Don't get me wrong I am on it but for business purposes only. Half of them are probably afraid to go out and vote.

If they could factor in those persons not on Twitter, they could get a cross section of the old and uneducated. Like, if each person is asked if they know someone who is not online, and how they would vote, and multiply that number by 3, they would get a more accurate result. Then, next year, tweak it to perfection.

Twitter users are typically younger and MUCH more likely to lean Democrat. Older voters are less likely to use Twittter and depending on several factors, such as state and income are more likely to lean Republican.

One of the worst things that happen on Election Day is that the national news networks start declaring victories’ before the poles are all closed. This has got to be playing a big part determining the results. The only thing the news should say about election is the when the poles are closed and exit voter comments. The election is not over until the last vote is counted. The Electoral College is a piece of antiquated history and should be eliminated. The Electoral College out lived its intended purpose over 50 years ago. It was established when communication of election results would have taken months to get the results. In this day and age of electronic communication and vote tabulation the Electoral College is not needed.

The Electoral College keeps the Popular Vote in Leftist and highly populated states (California, New York and Illinois) from moving most National elections to the Left and Far Left.

The Electoral College, as imperfect as it may be, does level the playing field and keep densely populated areas from dictating to less densely populated areas.

The Electoral College out lived its true usefulness over 60 years ago. This country was founded on majority rules. The Electoral College are people selected by a small group of people that you most likely have never heard of. We saw the worst case of voter fraud in over 100 years in the Gore/Bush election where not all the votes were counted. The Electoral College selected the president over the majority popular vote.

About a dozen of the highest populated States will dictate elections if the Electoral College is expunged. These states also happen to contain nearly all of the current bankrupt Cities and will soon contain all bankrupt Cities.

Four, of these dozen States, are on the brink of bankruptcy.

All of these Cities and States have elected Democrats for the past two elections . . . . some for as many as the past 8+ election cycles.

The Electoral College may be "outdated" but it keeps America afloat, so far!

The Electors who make up the Electoral College are regular people who have an interest in the future of this nation . . . just like you and I and most everyone else.

The Electoral College does nothing of the kind. I have been watching daily the predicted Electoral votes. They may or may not reflect the will of the people. At NO Point should the Electoral College override the popular vote. It is like saying that YOUR Vote does not matter because this faceless Electoral College, with NO real accountability, can dictate the outcome.
What Bankrupt Cities? What does that have to do with the Electoral College? The Electoral College only becomes involved in Presidential Elections. Now California, is on the verge of being Bankrupted and it has been under Republican rule for quite some time. Much of the problem is lack of the Federal funds, Tax Dollars, from the states being returned to the states in the form of Job creating projects, Education and Healthcare. This problem has been exasperated by the House of Representatives, under Republican Domination, have refused to work on any Jobs Bills in over three years.
Sorry to say that the Republican Party may not be that political party that you may think it to be. Limited choices. Quite possibly a social media site may well call the next election. Given the mindless and overwhelming support by those in the "usual" social media demographic, Social Media may kindle enough Obama supporters to win the day. It is hard to sell mature, seasoned, accomplished and managerial acumen, especially to the rebellious,immature, and inexperienced young, left leaning and borderline mendicant.
This brings up another point. What could Hitler and Goebels done with Facebook and Twitter? Or would they have been able to employ it successfully. Is it possible that Social Media may be the last , if not misguided, vestige of popular Democracy? In the case of the Arab Spring... It has brought down governments. But has it improved the lot of the governed or just given them something to temporarily crow about?
The only thing likely to save the Country (USA) from being an outright Fabianistic State would be the election of a Republican majority in both houses of Congress. Obama's core supporters including those of Jeremiah Wright, probably don't want Socialism as much as they want revenge and Booty. ( in both the economic and hedonistic senses)

Of course not, the sample is hardly representative of the voting population. For instance, those who answer Sodahead's questions are heavily skewed to Conservatives, so answers to any political questions don't reflect the sentiments of the voting age population of the US (thank goodness).

Through voter fraud, the election is already in the bag for BO. The machines can be manipulated, Spain is doing the official count, dead people register and vote, buses will bring in the indigent many times over, the electoral vote favors BO with the big states having the so-called minority voters, the democratic machine is already at work...want more????

While many Americans are on Twitter, there aren't nearly enough to get an accurate spread. Also while I'm sure they can narrow their data down to only Americans who are 18+, there is no way of them knowing which users are registered voters. Cool idea in theory, not very useful though.

No. Twitter doesn't use scientific polling, and not every one tweets. I know I sure as hell don't waste my time on that site. In fact SodaHead is the first and only site I've ever posted anything on and I don't spend much time doing it.
