Turtlenecks have gotten a bad rap over the years and while you can always find them in stores, they haven't been widely popular since the '90s... or even hip since the '70s. Fashion always comes back around however, and Lucky Magazine editor Marlien Rentmeester tells us that this fall and winter we will see a turtleneck resurgence. I think the high-necked sweaters can look good or bad depending on how you style them... but what do you think? Are turtlenecks chic or frumpy?

Both, I love them because they're practical in cold weather. So cozy! I don't care what someone thinks of my shirt. They can be chic if they're paired with the right accessories and style.

But, like with anything else, it all depends on who wears them. Some people can pull them off, some can't.

Depends on how you style them, but I love them even though I live in southern Florida and RARELY have occasion to wear it.

They're a nice change of pace in fashion. Lends an air of warmth, acumen, and demure sophistication. It's a manner clothing that offers soft comfort against chills, both physical and emotional. And they're great at hiding hickeys.

Only wear them when it is super cold, which in FL is not too often.

Have that skirt in your top photo. It's great! You can wear in the summertime with flip-flops and a cami and in the wintertime with something like a turtleneck, leggings and boots.

Turtlenecks are very 80's but I guess that kind of style is back in.

    You're being a little rude.

When I was in my late teens (in the 90's) the 60's attire was very popular. Tie-dye, little round glasses, bell bottoms, bandannas, etc.

Now it seems like the 80's styles are coming back in. Pegged pants, turtlenecks, legwarmers, rolled down socks, etc.

I love my turtlenecks in cold weather. They can be really classy if they are worn with accessories. Note my fall picture on my profile. I have them in every color.

Leave them in the 70s where they belong. One of the ugliest items of clothing ever invented for both men and women.

I see loads of turtlenecks in the Canadian winters... I didn't realize they ever went out of style... I love them. I don't see what wouldn't be stylish about them They're classy, modest, and practical.
