The German town of Triberg is now designating parking spots for men and women. The parking spots assigned to women are much easier to maneuver compared to the men's, less convenient designated spots. The mayor of Triberg went on to state, "As a rule, men are a little better at such challenges.”
Nonetheless, several studies find that women are indeed better parkers than men. For a British study that came out this year, researchers monitored 2,500 drivers in 700 parking lots in Britain for one month. While women took longer to park, they were more likely to leave their cars in the middle of the spot. Women proved to be better at finding places and more accurate in lining up the car before backing in. Also, they were more likely to use parking strategies recommended by driving instructors.

Yeah, tell that to all of the men who have cut me off (unintentionally), talk on the phone, swerve randomly, drink too much and drive and one who rammed his car into mine because he didn't look before backing up.
if women don't wanna use the spots, then i will!!!!!
What happens if a man and woman are together?
Do they have cameras to watch who does the parking? ;} LOL
If this is sexist, it is sexist towards men as well. By treating women differently and providing parking spots specifically for them, you are alienating the men.
Because da menz never have trouble parallel parking?
What a load of rubbish.
But it is nice to have a trash can in the bathroom stall for sanitary products. That's something I don't imagine that men need.
Wait a minute.....
Are you kidding me? If a woman happens to mess up parking, she should get more practice. The idea of "lowering standards" and generalizing women as worse drivers is just going make women become worse drivers.
Studies show that expectations can shift how well we function to a large extent. Studies conducted at schools showed that students who were told that they had higher talents and were more intelligent (Even though they were average in both) automatically ended up scoring higher in exams and becoming more involved in school activities, while students that were told that they were average or not told that they were of higher intelligence, ended up scoring average or worse.
I've had many female friends feel anxious about driving (Even though they had never tried before) because they somehow thought they "knew" that they were going to be bad at it, and considering all the "women can't drive comments" I can understand why they'd have such a low self-esteem (Confidence is important in driving too).
I on the other hand was told that I was going to be a great driver and encouraged highly, I passed my driving exams with almost perfect scores (Something which most men and women can't do here in Finland because the standards are very high).
